SAFLINK AND BAI ESTABLISH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO OFFER SECURE CREDENTIAL SOLUTIONS

Integrated Offering Targeted at Growing Government Need for Facilities Security

WASHINGTON, DC – GOVSEC Conference – ( May 25, 2005 ) – Saflink ® Corporation (NASDAQ: SFLK), a leading provider of biometric and smart card security solutions, and Biometric Associates, Inc. (BAI), a leading developer of embedded biometric security solutions, today announced a partnership that will offer integrated physical access control solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and other government organizations for installations and facilities.

“Saflink is a premier secure technology company. It has clearly demonstrated its understanding of public sector security requirements, particularly through its participation in two of the largest domestic security projects, the United States Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology (US-VISIT) project and the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program,” said John Hochstein, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing for BAI. “Like Saflink, BAI has a strong commitment to deliver top-notch, government-grade physical access security products. Together, we can offer customers a wider range of choices to meet their specific security needs that are already integrated for faster deployment and cost-effectiveness.”

This partnership agreement gives both organizations greater flexibility by coordinating the integration of each company’s existing access control products: Saflink’s SAFpassage™ and SAFcard™, and BAI’s Authenticator™ products, including self-authenticating biometric ID cards and vehicle access control solutions. This interoperability enables Saflink and BAI to jointly pursue larger security opportunities and to develop specific security solutions that match the needs of current government installation defense initiatives.

“Saflink has a successful track record of establishing key technology partnerships to better meet the security needs of diverse government organizations and sites,” stated Jeff Affuso, President of the Public Sector Division of Saflink. “By choosing to work with BAI, we can help our customers meet today’s increasing demands for tighter security by delivering the most advanced tools for physical access, regardless of site complexity.”

Saflink will be demonstrating its complete line of physical and logical access security products in booth # 1410 at the Government Security Expo and Conference (GOVSEC) May 25-26 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
