What:
This week at the Smart Card Alliance Annual Conference, Walter Hamilton of Saflink® Corporation will deliver a presentation entitled “Applying Biometrics to Access Control” as part of the “FIPS 201 Migration, Biometrics and Identity Management Systems (IDMS)” panel. In his presentation, Hamilton will report on the considerations for government agencies using biometrics for access control to comply with new standards set forth in the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 201, also known as the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) of federal employees and contractors.

Walter Hamilton is Vice President and General Manager of Biometric Solutions at Saflink. He is an authority on biometric standards and currently serves as Chairman and President of the IBIA and Chairman of the Biometric Foundation.
