System Requirements
SAFsolution tightly integrates with Microsoft Active Directory to allow administrators to secure network and workstation access. SAFsolution biometrically secures client access to network resources with components developed to integrate into new or existing client/server architectures.
Please note the following minimum system requirements for SAFsolution and its software components.
Server Requirements:
- Intel Pentium II 450Mhz or better
- RAM equivalent to OS requirements
- 100 MB free hard disk space
- 256+ color monitor
- Biometric hardware device (required if enrolling users from the server)
- Windows Administrative Tools (for managing user accounts via Windows MMC. NOTE: Required by SAFsolution Administrative Tools
- Active Directory running on Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003 (and SP1)
- ADAM running on Windows Server 2003 (and SP1)
NOTE: SAFsolution does not support Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition or Windows Server 2003 Web Edition.
Client Requirements:
- Intel Pentium I 120Mhz or better
- RAM equivalent to OS requirements
- 100 MB hard disk space
- 256+ color monitor
- Biometric hardware device (required for enrollment and authentication)
- USB port(s) (one required for each USB biometric hardware device)

- Windows 2000 Professional SP4
- Windows XP Professional SP1 or SP2
- Windows 2000 Server SP4
- Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4
- Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition (and SP1)
- Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition (and SP1)
