This article explains how to adjust the maximum number of cached user logons for Fast Login functionality to work properly in your environment.

INFORMATION

In a scenario where a single workstation may be used by several users to logon during the day, Fast Login may fail to verify your identity if your user account is no longer in the list of cached users. This is due to the default fast login users cache being limited to 6. The max number of cached users is adjustable (up to 30 users suggested). You can do this at the client machine through the Registry:

1. Open the Registry Editor (regedit, regedt32, etc)

2. Browse to:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Saflink Corporation\SAFsolutionClient\SAFLogon

3. Look for 'UserCount' and change its value to a higher number. The default is 5 (decimal). Make sure you specify decimal before inputting a number higher than 10, unless you prefer entering numbers in hex.

4. Close the Registry Editor and log off the machine (I don't believe a reboot is required, but if it seems the behavior hasn't changed, try rebooting the machine).

You may also view the current MRU list by going to:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Saflink Corporation\SAFsolutionClient\SAFLogon\UserMRU
