Adding Saflink Authentication Method to eTrust SSO

Description:
This article describes the process for adding the Saflink authentication method to your eTrust SSO server.

PRODUCTS

SAFaccess 1.2

- eTrust SSO 6.5

INFORMATION

After the installation of eTrust SSO and SAFaccess, the Saflink authentication method is not available by default. In order to use this authentication method, you must edit the authmap.ini files in the SSO Assistant and Server folders.

At the SAFaccess/SSO server:

1. Browse to "\Program Files\eTrust\SSO\Server" and open the 'authmap.ini' file using Notepad.

2. The authentication Method12 will have a value of CERT. Change this to SAFLNK (no 'i'), and change the description from Certificates to Saflink.

3. Save the file and close Notepad.

4. Browse to "\Program Files\eTrust\SSO\Assistant" and open the 'authmap.ini' file using Notepad.

5. Change Method12 from CERT to SAFLNK (no 'i').

6. Save the file and close Notepad.

The new Server authmap.ini file should look like this (for Method12):

Method12=SAFLNK , Saflink

The new Assistant authmap.ini file should look like this (for Method12):

12, Method12, SAFLNK

You will now be able to choose the Saflink authentication method under the user properties in SSO.
