What is SAFremote Authenticator? ================================================================
SAFremote Authenticator(TM) is an add-on module that allows users - via a
Citrix(R), Windows Terminal Services or Remote Desktop session - to log on
using biometrics to local workstation or LAN-based network.
SAFremote Authenticator works only in conjunction with one of Saflink's product
lines - SAFsolution or SAFmodule.
-- SAFremote Authenticator, in conjunction with SAFsolution Enterprise Edition,
allows users to log on to their local workstation and Active Directory-based
networks using a wide range of biometric devices.
-- SAFremote Authenticator, in conjunction with SAFsolution Workstation Edition,
allows users to log on to their local workstation and LAN-based networks
using a wide range of biometric devices.
-- SAFremote Authenticator, in conjunction with SAFmodule, allows users to
log on to their local workstation and/or Novell eDirectory-based networks
remotely using a wide range of biometric devices.
*** This add-on module does not biometrically authenticate users directly to a
Citrix session; it allows users to biometrically authenticate via
a remote session. ***

SAFremote Authenticator works only in conjunction with one of Saflink's product lines - SAFsolution or SAFmodule. SAFremote Authenticator supports all of the biometric service provider (BSP) modules supported by that product line.
Please refer to SAFsolution or SAFmodule documentation to verify BSP support.

both SAFsolution and SAFmodule product lines. This allows the same biometric security features to be available to remote clients via Citrix, Windows
Terminal Services or Remote Desktop.

- Please refer to Citrix, Terminal Services or Remote Desktop
Connection for these minimum system requirements
Terminal Server Requirements:
SAFmodule or SAFsolution Client

- For Citrix and Terminal ServiceS, the minimum system requirements
are Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Advanced Server or
Windows 2000 Datacenter server
- For Remote Desktop Connection (RDC), the minimum system requirement
is Windows XP Professional
Saflink Server Component Requirements:
SAFsolution or SAFmodule Server Component
- Please refer to SAFsolution or SAFmodule for these minimum system
requirements.

Installation Instructions ===============================================================
FOR CITRIX ONLY: One of the following Citrix ICA clients (Metaframe, Program
Neighborhood or Program Neighborhood Agent) must be installed before
biometrically enabling Citrix using Saflink's SAFremote Authenticator.
When using Metaframe, a Metaframe Server must also be present. We recommend
that these clients use the highest encryption settings for a published
application.
Windows Terminal Services and Remote Desktop Connection ship with and must be configured for Windows 2000 servers and XP Professional, respectively.
1. Double-click SAFremote Authenticator Setup.exe file.
2. Click Next.
3. Check the Citrix checkbox if using Citrix.
-- If you are using Terminal ServiceS or Remote Desktop Connection (RDC),
do not check the Citrix checkbox. This skips Steps 4-7.
4. If Citrix option was selected, a ICA client Destination folder option comes up. 5. Browse to Destination folder and click Next.
6. Click Next at Configuration Wizard dialog.
7. Add directories and click Next. (Remember to include all ICA client folders
if using more then one.)
8. Click Finish.
