Description:
This article provides installation instructions for the Precise BSP.

Driver Installation

NOTE: Your device should be disconnected from the computer during BSP installation. Once the installation finishes (or if prompted to do so during the installation), plug your device in for proper driver initialization.

Manual Install:

1. Browse to \BSP\Precise\BIOAPI & HAAPI\Precise Biometrics\Drivers on your Saflink Product CD.

2. Run the setup.exe file

3. Select the appropriate device type (USB or PC Card) and click Install (accept all screen prompts)

4. Once the drivers are installed, plug the device in to apply the drivers and proceed to the BSP installation.

Silent Install:

For Precise PC Card driver, add the following command to your script/batch file:

SetupPCC.exe -install

For Precise USB driver, add the following command to your script/batch file:

SetupUSB.exe -install

NOTE: The SetupPCC.exe and SetupUSB.exe files are located in their respective folders within the Precise Drivers folder [BSP\Precise\BIOAPI & HAAPI\Precise Biometrics\Drivers] and are hidden files, by default. You must still complete the BSP installation after the driver install, which is a manual process at this time.

2. Run the setup.exe file

3. Select "Support for Precise 100 Series" and click Install (accept all screen prompts)
