After upgrading SAFmodule, Admin unable to enroll users

Description:
This article describes an issue that affects environments upgraded from SAFmodule 3.1 to 3.1 SP2.

PRODUCTS

SAFmodule 3.1 (no service pack)

- Upgrading to SAFmodule 3.1 SP2

PROBLEM

After upgrading to SAFmodule 3.1 SP2 (from 3.1 no SP) users are unable to add new enrollments.

Symptom:

Admin receives error when attempting to enroll a user through ConsoleOne using AuthenTec; "Alert, your request for enrollment was cancelled or failed, you may not have sufficient administrative rights to perform this operation."

Practice Utility does not give an error and seems to let you enroll, but enrollment does not display in ConsoleOne.

RESOLUTION

From the administrative workstation's command line (where SAFmodule admin tools and ConsoleOne are installed) enter (with quotation marks):

regsvr32 "c:\program files\saflink corporation\safmodule\ndsSafAuthenticationStore.dll"
