This article addresses a PIN policy bug in NetSign CAC 4.1

Issue / Problem:

Advance PIN Policies Cache timeout settings are inaccurate.

Set Advance Pin Policy:

[x] ID PIN TIMEOUT TO 5

[x] SIGN PIN TIMEOUT TO 5

[x] Encrypt PIN Timeout TO 5

[x] Application PIN Timeout 5 minute

When the above time out values are set and you returned to Policy page the CacheMinutes was reset to a large value for minutes.



Solution:

Cache timeout settings does not work properly with NetSign CAC 4.1x unless setting for timeout values are all set to 1 minute including the advance settings. After making those changes select Go back to Policy page and select Accept. This is the the only working solution for Cache timeout settings for NetSign CAC 4.1.



This problem was fixed with NetSign CAC 4.2. You should upgrade your version of NetSign CAC to version 4.2.
