Netscape Security Module is not installed with NetSign CAC

Issue / Problem:
Install NetSign CAC 4.1 and at the end when it asks for reboot select quot;Yesquot; to reboot. The system then hangs and the user will get an error message stating quot;You must quit this (modutil) program before you quit Windows.quot; After the reboot open Netscape and the NetSign CAC security module is not installed.
Expected Result:
Installing NetSign CAC should also install the security module in Netscape without hanging or any other errors.
Solution:
Options for correcting this issue:
1. Install the latest version of NetSign CAC (This support issue was corrected with NetSign CAC version 4.2).
2. If the same version of NetSign CAC (4.1x) is desired rather than the latest version, then try uninstalling NetSign CAC from Add Remove Programs. Install smart card reader hardware, reboot your systemand then reinstall NetSign CAC 4.1x or later.
3. Manually installing certificates and security module for Netscape is a two-step process. The first step prepares your system for the installation of the certificates and the second step installs the certificates themselves. The Target Directory is the location of the NetSign CAC files. The default location is C:\Program Files\Litronic\NetSign CAC
Step 1.
1. Double click on the file CryptoInstall.htm located in the Target Directory (if NetScape is not your default email then open NetScape browser and drag and drop the Cryptoinstall.htm onto NetScape).
2. Click OK. quot;Core32.dllquot; will be installed and the Congratulations screen will be displayed.
3. Close the browser.
Step 2.
1. Double click NetscapeCert.htm located in the Target Directory\certificates folder (if NetScape is not your default email then open NetScape browser and drag and drop the NetscapeCert.htm onto NetScape).
2. A screen will be displayed listing each of the certificates.One at a time, select each of the underlined certificates and follow the on-screen instructions. Select all check boxes and click Next.
